Channels In Shyft
Channels are communication feeds that are created for groups of individuals. Content and messages are posted to channels to be viewed by all group members of the channel. Users may be manually added to groups that apply to them. New team members added to the group can scroll back and view all content that was posted in the channel. Admins can also create groups, and in turn, communication channels.
The Primary Location Channel
All locations have a Primary Location Channel. This is a feed that team members at the site are automatically subscribed to when they register. It is the centralized site feed that team members can post messages to or view content that has been posted.
Viewing Content in Team Channels
To view content, simply scroll through the channel feed to find the information you are looking for. Tap directly on any multimedia within a post to open a gallery or web view to browse the content. Within the gallery view, users can slide through multiple image posts. All other content types will open a web browser in the application to view the content including PDFs, surveys, and other links.
Channel Settings
To access the Channel Settings, open a Channel feed, and then tap on the ellipses in the top right corner (3 dot icon). A list of Channel Settings options will be provided which include viewing all channel members, adding team members, viewing announcements, and viewing pinned posts. Tap into any of these options to perform the desired action.
