When a user is looking to take time off for the day, they can apply to cover Voluntary Time Off (VTO) offers in the Marketplace. Once they apply, Admins will need to approve or deny the application.
VTO Offers
Users can view and browse VTO offers in the calendar within the Marketplace macro view in an effort to find opportunities to take voluntary time off. VTO offers are identified in the feed with a yellow shift type stripe. When users tap on a VTO offer, they will access the VTO Details information. In the background view, this will display the Job Title of the VTO, the start time and end time, the quantity of VTO offers available, and the quantity of users that have applied to take VTO.
VTO Comments
This is how users communicate about VTOs directly on VTO offer cards. The first post in this section is the initial VTO description. To continue the conversation a user can tap on VTO Comments, and they will be taken into a threaded comment page where they can respond. All group members who had visibility to the initial VTO offer, will have visibility to the comments in this section.
Users can ask questions about VTO specifics or any information they need answered to help them determine if this is the right VTO offer for them to take. Once a user applies for the VTO or adds a comment in this section, they become a VTO Post follower, and will receive all notifications related to the VTO and comments that follow.
VTO Applications
When a user is ready to take VTO, they tap on the green Take VTO button that appears at the bottom of the application card. The application card is the foreground section that sits on top of the VTO details background. In this area, users can see their profile avatar, job title, and VTO status. They will see their current scheduled hours for the week.
Schedule Analysis
Users can swipe up on the application card to view the Schedule Analysis section. This displays the user’s previous shift, the VTO being applied for, and the next scheduled shift. It helps identify provide context for this VTO in the user's schedule.
Application Comments
After a user applies to take VTO, a chat bubble icon will appear at the top right of the application card. This is how a user accesses the Application Comments section. This opens a private multi-user comment section where the participants in the thread are the post owner, the post applicant, and site admins. Application Comments are a place where private conversations can take place such as reviewing personal qualifications for a VTO, or specific reasons why a team member was approved or denied.
VTO Comments are used for sending larger public messages to all users who have VTO visibility, while Application Comments are used for application specific conversations with the applicable parties.
