Before creating a new location in Shyft, users should download the Shyft app and sign up.
Downloading Shyft
Shyft is available for iOS devices in the Apple App Store and on Android devices in the Google Play Store.
To download Shyft, open the app store and type “Shyft” in the search field. Select and download the “Shyft – Shyft Swap, Schedule” app.
Signing Up for Shyft
After downloading Shyft, open the app, and tap ‘Continue With Phone’. To create an account, employees will need a working phone number that can receive SMS.
After entering a phone number, an SMS with a verification code will be sent. Enter the code to authenticate the device.
Joining an Existing Location in Shyft
After the user verifies their phone number and selects 'Join an Existing Location', they will be able to enter the Location Code of the location they wish to join.
If the user does not know the Location Code, they can search for the location on the map. Once the location information has been entered into the search tool, results will be presented in a list view. Tap to select the location to join.
Once the user finds the correct location via the Location Code or by searching the map, they will review the location information and tap the button to 'Confirm' that they would like to join.
After confirming the correct location, users will enter their first name, last name, job title, and phone number to create their Profile in Shyft. Users can also claim Admin status if applicable.
Lastly, users will be prompted to invite their team members to join the location in Shyft and they can begin using the app.
