In Shyft, users of a location can create custom Channels from the Community Tab or the My Groups section of their Profile.
Creating a Channel from the Community Tab
1. Tap on the Compose icon in the top right corner.
2. Then tap the button to 'Create a New Group'. This will allow the user to form a new Group that can be used for shift broadcasting and team communications.
3. Enter the Group Name and a Group Description.
4. Select the team members that need to be added to the group. Users can search by name or job title to add members.
5. Once all team members have been selected, tap on ‘Add X’ and then tap ‘Confirm X’. The Group will be formed and a Channel will be created in the Community tab.
Note: After a Group has been created, users can be added to or removed from the Group by tapping on the ellipses icon in the top right corner of the Channel feed.
Creating Groups from the Profile Tab
1. Tap on My Groups from the Profile Tab.
2. Tap 'Create' in the top right corner. This will allow the user to form a new Group that can be used for shift broadcasting and team communications.
3. Enter the Group Name and a Group Description.
4. Select the team members that need to be added to the group. Users can search by name or job title to add members.
5. Once all team members have been selected, tap on ‘Add X’ and then tap ‘Confirm X’. The Group will be formed and a Channel will be created in the Community tab.
Note: After a Group has been created, users can manage Group members by tapping on the Group name to access the Group Settings page.
