Shyft Admins have the ability to broadcast Voluntary Time Off (VTO) opportunities to a custom Group at a location or to the entire location. VTOs are posted by Admins when there is a lower volume of work available. Once approved by an Admin, workers who claim VTO will no longer need to show up for their shift.
Creating a VTO Offer
1. Tap on the center ‘Plus’ button located at the bottom of the screen and select ‘Voluntary Time Off’.
2. Tap on ‘Date’ and select the date of the VTO offer.
3. Tap on ‘Start Time & End Time’ and enter the start and end time of the VTO offer.
4. Add a shift Job Title to specify the work assignment being offered VTO.
5. Enter a VTO Quantity to indicate how many VTO offers you want to broadcast. Admins can broadcast up to 5,000 VTO offers on a single card.
6. Once all fields are completed on the first screen, tap ‘Next’.
7. Enter a VTO Description to explain why you are offering VTO or to provide additional information about the VTO offer.
8. Once all fields are completed on the second screen, tap ‘Next’.
9. Select the Group that the VTO offer will be broadcasted to.
10. Tap on ‘Post to X Team Members’ to proceed to the next step.
11. Lastly, review the details to confirm all content and VTO information is correct.
12. Then tap 'Post X VTO Offers' and ‘Confirm and Post’ to broadcast your VTOs to the Group.
Once VTOs are broadcasted, users who are a part of the Group selected will receive a notification that VTOs have been posted. The posted VTOs can be viewed in the Shift Marketplace section of the Calendar tab.
