When Associates would like to get their shift covered, they have the ability to broadcast Scheduled Shifts to a custom Group at a location, the entire location, or to regional collections of locations (if applicable). This type of shift is labeled as a Team Shift in Shyft.
Creating a Team Shift
1. Tap on the center ‘Plus’ button located at the bottom of the screen and select ‘Get My Shift Covered’.
2. Tap on ‘Select Shift’ and select a shift from the calendar. If there are no Scheduled Shifts on the calendar, tap to select the date of the shift from the month view and confirm the selection by tapping on the button at the bottom of the screen.
3. Tap on ‘Start Time & End Time’ and enter the start and end time of the shift.
4. Add a shift Job Title to specify the work assignment of the shift.
5. Once all fields are completed on the first screen, tap ‘Next’.
6. Enter a Shift Description to explain why you would like to get the Team Shift covered or to provide additional information about the shift.
7. Once all fields are completed on the second screen, tap ‘Next’.
8. Select the Group that the shift will be broadcasted to.
9. Tap on ‘Post to X Team Members’ to proceed to the next step.
10. Lastly, review the details to confirm all content and shift information is correct.
11. Then tap ‘Post Shift’ and ‘Confirm and Post’ to broadcast your shift to the Group.
Once the Team Shift is broadcasted, users who are a part of the Group selected will receive a notification that the shift has been posted. Shifts can be viewed in the Shift Marketplace section of the Calendar tab.
