After a shift or VTO has been posted, there are a couple of ways users can communicate on shift and VTO cards.
Public Shift Comments
Admins can use the Shift Comments feature to send updates about a shift or a VTO. The public Shift Comment thread is accessible via the Shift Details page, below the Shift Description. To initiate or continue a conversation, users can tap on ‘Add a comment...’ or ‘Comments’ and they will be taken to a threaded Shift Comments page where they can respond. Group members who had visibility to the initial shift or VTO post will have visibility to the comments in this section.
Application Comment
After a user applies to cover a shift or to take VTO, a chat bubble icon will appear at the top right of the application card. This is how a user can access the Application Comments section. Tapping on the chat bubble opens a private multi-user comment section where the participants in the thread are the post owner, the applicant, and the site Admins. Application Comments are a place where private conversations can take place such as reviewing personal qualifications, or specific reasons why a team member was Approved or Denied.
